Yamaha Motor Canada Presents Behind the Lens: Top 10 From Minneapolis

With frigid temperatures outside, the riders and teams gathered inside the spacious and modern US Bank Stadium for Round 6 of the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series. Since the beginning of this series, we have witnessed numerous exciting battles in both classes. With this being the opening round of the 250SX East Series, there was some added anticipation to keep everyone warm in cold Minneapolis. When all was said and done, Austin Forkner drew first blood in the 250SX East Series as he grabbed the win over Jordon Smith and Justin Cooper. In the 450 class, Cooper Webb continued his stellar riding as he rode strong to take his third win of the season. As he’s been all season long, Frank Hoppen was on hand and sent us these photos for this week’s Yamaha Motor Canada Behind the Lens.

We think it’s safe to say that these two are getting along pretty well.

One thing that we’ve notice so far in 2019 is that Marvin Musquin is a lot looser and more relaxed on the motorcycle.

Justin Cooper proved in Minneapolis that he will be a title contender in the 250SX East class.

With the cold weather outside, all of the teams pitted inside the toasty warm US Bank Stadium.

Chad Reed had the best race of his year in Minneapolis and he came from behind to finish in 7th.

Ken Roczen grabbed another podium in Minneapolis and in the process vaulted himself back into the 450SX points lead.

Things weren’t so pretty outside of US Bank Stadium.

US Bank Stadium has to be one of the most impressive sports facility in North America.

Everyone was excited to see the 250SX East Series kick-off in Minneapolis.

This photo of 450SX main event winner Cooper Webb shows just how balanced and comfortable he is on his new KTM.
