This past weekend TLD GasGas SSR completed the first round of the Canadian Triple Crown Series
at Whispering Pines in Kamloops, BC. The team along with everyone else in the pits were extremely
excited to get back racing! The team worked hard all week and weekend which ended up in some
solid results for the team.
MX2

TLD GasGas SSR MX2 rider Tyler Gibbs put in the work this weekend to produce some solid results
at round 1. Moto 1 would see Gibbs get off to a good start where he would put in some consistent
laps throughout the moto. Gibbs would dig deep against the talented field of riders to finish 5th place
for moto 1.

Moto 2 Would see the #22 of Gibbs pull a great start where he would round the second corner in first
position. Tyler would sit in 3rd place for a few laps while pushing hard which allowed him to hold on
to P3 for a majority of the Moto. Gibbs would get passed by Jacob Piccolo late in the 2nd Moto
which bumped the Mission, BC rider back to 4th position. Tyler would stay calm while continuing to
put in solid laps throughout the entire Moto. Gibbs would continue to fight hard to cross the checkers
in 4th. Gibbs would go 5-4 for 4th overall at round 1.
MX1
With TLD GasGas SSR signing Christopher Blackmer only a week ago the team was curious what
the 19 year old from Michigan would be able to do. Moto 1 would see Blackmer with a 3rd position
start, After a few laps Blackmer would fall back to 5th position where he would finish off the moto in a
very consistent fashion while battling with Tanner Ward.

Moto 2 saw the #573 pull an amazing hole shot against the rest of the field, unfortunately the race
was red flagged and all riders were sent back to the gates for a restart. Blackmer would once again
pull off another hole shot where he would lead the opening laps of the moto. With pressure from
Jess Pettis, Tyler Medaglia, and Dylan Wright. Falling back to 4th position, Blackmer would show
great speed an consistency where he would finish off the Moto in 4th. Chris would go 5-4 for 4th
overall at Round 1.

We would like to congratulate Chris on his first ever Pro National as well as wrapping up two
championships at the 2022 Future West WCAN. Blackmer went 6-1-1 for 1st Overall in Pro/Am and
2-1-1 for 1st overall in Under 30.

The entire team is very happy with the results from this weekend and got to show off all of the hard
that was done in the offseason. Thank You Steve, Mary, Jiri, Risi, Andrew, Jeff, Sam, Chris, and
Tyler for your hard work that keeps this program running.

TLD GasGas SSR will be lining up in Drumhellar, AB next weekend for Round 2 of the Canadian
Triple Crown Series.
