THOMPSON CONCLUDES THE WESTERN SWING WITH A PERFECT WEEKEND

CMRC Canadian Motocross Nationals – Round 4
Regina, (SK) – This past Sunday, on a track that probably looked the best it ever did, The KTM Thor Racing Team dominated the MX2 class. The great weather added to the really well prepared compound of the Moto Valley Raceway mixed well with Cole Thompson will to win and delivered a perfect weekend.

The 4th round of the CMRC Series will be one to remember for Thompson. Cole qualified at the top position in the morning and got to climb on top of the podium twice during the day. Moto 1 started well for Thompson as he found himself in the top 3 going out of the first corner. After a pretty hard crash in front of him on the third lap, Cole moved in front and stayed there until the end of the race. The second start wasn’t as good for the KTM rider. He had to work his way up which he successfully achieved as he ended up with the lead after only a few corners. It’s not without any pressure from #12 Shawn Maffenbeier that Cole put his head down and rode to the checkered flag. His 1-1 results gave him with the overall and increased his points lead to 33 points.

Cole Thompson (MX2): “My plan was clear heading to Regina, I wanted to win and make a statement. I needed to prove that I could get that perfect weekend. I knew I had it in me. Now, my 250 KTM Factory Edition is working better than ever and I’m ready to go racing in the rough Eastern tracks. I will enjoy the small break, get some family time in and come back in Gopher Dunes 100% Ready To Race”
