The Friday 10 Presented By Thor MX

As you all know this past weekend one of the nicest riders on the circuit Brock Leitner was injured in practice at Round 2 in Drumheller. Brock is still in the hospital and will be for some time as he deals with his injuries. We wish Brock and his family our absolute best thoughts during this difficult time.

This weekend the Triple Crown Series will travel to Pilot Mound, MB for Round 3 and the final race of the western swing. After cool temperatures at the opening two rounds, this weekend is forecasted to be a hot one.

If you haven’t already made plans for Canada Day weekend then Walton Raceway is the place to be. With XC, Dirt Track, Amateur, as well as pro racing and fireworks going on from Friday to Sunday Walton One is a race/party you don’t want to miss. Go to waltonraceway.ca for all details.

Another rider who felt the wrath of the Drumheller track was 450 title favourite Jess Pettis. The KTM rider crashed on Lap 1 of the opening moto and sadly suffered an elbow injury. Jess had surgery on Monday and is expected to be out for at least six weeks.

Round 2 250 class winner Mitchell Harrison is really loving his time in Canada so far. This week he flew back to Nova Scotia to recharge before the final western round on Sunday.

Can anyone stop Dylan Wright in the 450 class? After two rounds and five motos the GDR Honda rider has been perfect and his riding has been better than we’ve ever seen.

Not only is Round 3 of the Triple Crown Series taking place in Manitoba but next weekend the Central Canadian Amateur National (CCAN) will take place at TransCanada Moto Park in Brandon, MB.

Thanks to VitalMX Pit Bits feature from Thunder Valley we get our first look at the new Instinct 2 boots from Fox Racing that only Ryan Dungey has been using so far.

Last weekend it was Tyler Gibbs who won our Rider of the Week Award and from Drumheller we’re picking rookie 250 class rider Sebastien Racine who rode smoothly to go 3-4-3 for third overall.

Finally, this Sunday is Father’s Day so let’s send out our best wishes to all of our very cool moto dads who give everything they have so our kids can be successful. Happy Father’s Day!
