SCR Banquet

The Steel City Riders’ banquet was held this past Saturday in Binbrook, Ontario. They are starting their 66th year of operation as a club; their home track is based in Oshweken. My family races in this club and have been for the last four years or so. The club is very family oriented ,which is one the great things about it. Even if you have problem with your bike there is someone there to help with a part or will let you use their bike to make it into the next moto.

It’s a great beginners club for people just starting. The club track can be used during the week for practice and they also have schools during the week to help improve novice riders. There was lots of hardware to hand out Saturday night for motocross classes, Off-Road, the Jim Kelly Memorial 6 Hr Hare Scramble, and the Bill Braden Memorial1 hr.

The Rider of the Year went to Dylan Osterroth.

They also have Scholarship Awards that go to a male and female rider that is graduating and going on to post secondary schools.

Supporter award went to CYCLE WORLD WEST.
