Pit Tour Presented By Matrix Concepts Canada- Ryder McNabb’s KTM 250 SX-F

Last time during our Matrix Concepts Pit Tour, we profiled defending Triple Crown Series 450 Champion Dylan Wright’s GDR Honda CRF450R. Well, this time around, we headed over to the KTM Canada Red Bull Race Team to look at current 250 points leader Ryder McNabb’s KTM 250 SX-F. Whether it’s McNabb, Kaven Benoit, or Jess Pettis, all the bikes under the KTM tent this year are as close to ‘factory’ bikes as we have here in Canada. From the engine to the FMF Exhaust System to the rear brake caliper, all of these parts come directly from the KTM Factory in the USA. The frame is also a factory item from KTM HQ in Austria. With these items and numerous other cool over-the-counter items, it’s no wonder that all three riders have won motos in the opening three rounds of the Triple Crown Series. Also, it’s no surprise that McNabb has the red plates in the 250 class as the series now heads east. We hope you enjoy this week’s Matrix Concepts Pit Tour and these incredible James Lissimore photos of Ryder McNabb’s bike.

Ryder McNabb’s 2023 KTM 250 SX-F is a thing of beauty, and like most of the riders in the paddock, McNabb’s bike sits on a bike stand from Matrix Concepts Canada.

The KTM Canada Team uses Kite Wheels on both front and back wheels.

For this year all of the KTM riders use WP Spring Forks with the Xact Pro 6500 Cartridge kit.

The rear shock is also WP and the team is using a stock bladder. Also, both front and rear suspension have SSS valving specs which all three riders say they love.

The KTM Team is using stock rads but with a welded cap stem. We also love the locking wire on the cap to make sure it doesn’t come loose. You can also see the secondary starting button mounted to the factory frame. This button is made by Nihilo Concepts.

The fuel tank on McNabb’s bike is factory KTM and holds an extra 500ml of ETS Race Fuel.

Like most of the top riders, McNabb uses a Steering Damper on his KTM 250 SX-F. This one looks cool and is available through the KTM Canada Parts Catalog.

Works Connection provides the KTM team with several of these cools parts.

Here is another cool looking lightweight and strong composite part on McNabb’s bike.

Two of the factory items on McNabb’s bike are the front and rear brake calipers.

FMF provides the exhaust system that is specifically designed to work with the factory engine. The KTM team also uses Hinson Clutches as you can see.

The Factory FMF Exhaust looks great on McNabb’s bike.

Another factory item on McNabb’s bike are these custom engine brackets.

After three rounds of the 2023 Triple Crown Series Ryder McNabb has the points lead and the red plates in the 250 class.
