Parts Canada Walton ANQ Double Header: Day 1

Day 1 of the Parts Canada Walton ANQ Double header is in the books. There was a great turn out for the age classes which ran today. Sunday is skill class day. Almost 400 entries crammed Walton and big turn out is also expected for Sunday.

Riders either loved the track  or thought it needed to be rougher. The track wasnt as deep as it is at the National, but for small wheels and vet classes that was appreciated. Sunday it is getting deeper prepp and the fast classes should be happy.

Here is a few quick photos from today.

#78 Weston Wrozyna was fast today but bad starts in the Schoolboy left him battling towards the front.

Dangerous Don Davidson came out to Walton today and as always left with a huge smile. Don has been racing for more than 40 years.

Chris Pomeroy rode his first +40 class today. He was solid and went 1-1. Mr Ontario still has it baby!!

#527 Jake Tricco and #199 Nic Cryer were the top dogs in 85 7-11. The two battled all day with Tricco coming out on top for the 1-1 and Cryer 2-2.

Stefan Watling is one of the good guys. Him and a number of the boys from Sarnia area have put a few weeks of work in here at Walton on showers and water. It has been appreciated by all.

RJ Marnoch was on it today. He won Schoolboy Main, final  moto in Under 30 and was flat out flying today. He is going to be strong on Sunday.

Under 30 start shot.

Craig Stevenson, who has a feature column in MXP Magazine was out with his family racing today.

Track manager Barry Heatherington and Referee Jake Lee talk about where to get a good price on red hats.

Drew Roberts was hauling in the final moto of the day  and catching the leaders. Drew stalled the bike causing him to come around back in the pack. A day of could of, would of for Drew.

#147 Hayden Halstead had a good battle with Taylor Ciampichini in the final moto of the Under 30 class. Ciampichini won most kick ass last name, and his 2-2 gave him the U30 overall.

Great to see Kyle Stephens out racing again this weekend.

#35 Joey Crown and #84 Tanner Ward started out close in the 85 12-16. Crown took both moto wins while…..

Tanners bike siezed.

Most popular place to be at the end of the day… bike park and sand pit. See everyone for day 2.
