MXP Top 20 – #15 Parker Allison

Parker Allison comes in at #15

The rankings are closing in on the top ten best riders as we head into the 2013 Monster Energy Motocross Nationals. This week we have #15 Parker Allison. Part of a twin duo with endless amounts of skill and heart on a dirt bike. Its Parker who claims the spot light this week though.

For me it’s hard to tell between the two when face to face. There are subtle differences, but on the track it’s even harder to figure it out. Jared seems to have a tad more speed maybe, but the consistency of Parker always has him right in the thick of a battle. Parker is never one to shy away from the aggressive nature it takes to become one of the best racers. In fact I can honestly say in every race I have seen him ride he is always moving forward, and never letting his peers get the better of him in a one on one situation. This past summer it was much of the same once again for parker. Dawning the #23 plate on his Troy lee Yamalube Blackfootdirect.com SSS Yamaha, Parker would once again show that consistency pays off grabbing 15 top ten moto finishes out of 18 motos, with a best being 4th at Nanaimo. He ended the series in 7th overall which was not his goal, but the class was super tough this year, and he was right in the heat of the battle for podiums every weekend.

Parker is super enjoyable to watch during a race. Always gives 110%

Look out for the #18 this summer back with all is amazing sponsors.

Born as a farmer along with the entire Allison family. Parker along with Twin Brother Jared, and younger brother Bryton travelled the nationals once again as a family. Parents Brent (Benny) and Lori are two of the most special people you can meet throughout the pits. Never a moment you can’t cruise by their pit and not be greeted with a smile or welcomed with open arms. They are the poster family that every motocross family would love to be. They spend every waking minute together and enjoy each moment of it all. It truly is a beautiful thing to see each weekend at the nationals. If you have something wrong with you and are looking for an upbeat place to fix that. Just cruise by the Allison pits. They breath fresh life into anybody that stops by.

A great role model for the sport.

For the majority of their careers Parker has taken the spot just behind Jared. Not that he’s not had his moments in the sun, but Parker has yet to share the same success as Jared. Maybe 2013 will be his year when he shows us all what we know he’s capable of. Either way the best thing about Parker is you know what you get out there as a sponsor. A great role model for kids, a rider with the determination of never giving up to reach the top, and an attitude that racing isn’t everything knowing there is life after it. Parker Allison is a racer that anybody could look up to and aspire to be. For all these reasons and more I’ve missed I’m sure. Parker Allison is #15 on our MXP top 20 list.

  • What’s your goal for the season? You were up there a couple years ago, getting top 5 finishes and top 10 consistently, so what’s the goal going into 2012?
