MX2 Moto 1 Report From Edmonton

As the gate dropped for moto 1 of the MX2 class there was a slimmer of hope for Kaven Benoit as he grabbed a huge holeshot, behind him was Brad Nauditt and points leader Austin Politelli. One lap was all Kaven was allowed with a clear view as Politelli used his superior hard packed skills to pass Benoit and instantly began to pull away.

Benoit gave it everything he had and held strong in second, pulling away from Nauditt while he tried to keep Austin in sight. Nauditt had a lonely ride in third for the entire moto, but behind him was a great battle for fourth between Blake Savage and Josh Clark. Savage had it until the last lap when a lapper got in his way and Clark pounced, Savage tried him back but ended up going down and fell back to fifth. Benoit is going to have to dig deep and find something, somewhere if he wants to beat Austin Politelli in moto 2.
