Motovan Presents The Walton TransCan Report- Day 1

Well, the day we’ve all been waiting for finally arrived today as the gate dropped on the 2023 Walton TransCan. It was a warm day, and the riders got different conditions than usual on the opening day. Instead of the deep ruts that we’re accustomed to seeing at the Walton TransCan, today, the track was left smooth, and only a few ruts formed, even in the later motos. Although the riders were surprised with how the track was, most enjoyed riding it, and the racing was entertaining all afternoon.

Some of the big winners today were Evan Stewart in the opening 250 Intermediate moto, Jayden Riley in the Supermini class, and Bobby Gravel in the first 250 JR moto. Ryder McNabb came from behind to win the Pro-Am moto, and Talon Medaglia won the first 65 10-11 moto. It was a great first day, and we’re back at it early tomorrow morning for Day 2. The only sad news today was regarding Blake Davies, as he crashed in his opening practice and broke his collarbone. Blake was one of the favourites to win the Intermediate class this week at the Walton TransCan.
