Don't Miss

Mail It In Friday

Sorry we missed last Friday folks. Between Gauldy still battling the flu bug,  Brett hanging out in Indy doing very little productive and no one else kicking around this place called work…. you get what ya’ got.

HOWEVER never fear (Really… was anyone afraid?). We are back to splash some quick bits of motocross your way.

This is from the department labeled “NOT GOOD”.

Simon Homans is a former Canadian National Champion, now turned race promoter. He has run into a few issues. Thanks google translate.

The owner of the former St-Élie Drags finally received statements of offense totaling $ 62,500 this year because of the noise caused by drag racing. Contesting these fines could be heard somewhere in 2013.

Having prevailed in July and September against Simon Homans for races held since the end of March Motorsports Complex St. Elias, the City of Sherbrooke gave him a third batch of statements of offense, to mid-November.

Cole Thompson— So, so close.

How many of you were yelling at your TV last weekend and then screaming “Oh NO” when Cole Thompson ran as high as 3rd and then stacked it up ugly. See that dust up in the video below. A good little interview with Cole  HERE from the guys at RacerX.

Cole is going to play it “day by day” whether he races this weekend. He badly bruised his hip in the crash and hasn’t been able to ride all week. Lets hope to see the 48 out there.

Speaking of 48.. Since the greatest prime factor of 482 + 1 = 2305 is 461, which is clearly more than 48 twice, 48 is a Stormer number. Hmmm not sure why we posted that but thanks anyway Wikipedia.

Hats off to the team at CMRC. Made some nice updates on the site, which we really like. Good job.

The KTM Harlem Shake. What do you think Roger Decoster is thinking sitting in the middle of that? Also… is that East coaster Kyle Patton at the bottom?

Ryan Hughes

Last week former factory rider, national-winner  Ryan Hughes crashed while riding in Southern California. He broke his back in the crash, and has since undergone two surgeries. The good news is that he’s expected to make a full recovery. Here is  a update on Ryan Hughes on Facebook, posted by his wife Jennifer…

Jennifer Hughes
Well it’s almost been a week since Ryan’s accident. As most of you know, he suffered a horrific crash last Wed which he was temporarily paralyzed from the neck down upon impact. He regained feeling and movement, only to have paralyzation happen again from the chest down that same evening as a hematoma enlarged on his spine. He had two surgeries; one to relieve the pressure on his spine and the second the next day to place rods and screws from T2-T7 in his back. Happy to say both surgeries went beautifully and he is expected to recover fully. They already have him up cruising the halls, but needless to say-it’s going to be a very long road for Ryan. He’s got an amazing will and is the strongest person I know, so I am not worried-he’s going to be back and he’ll be stronger than ever 🙂 He’s done with riding MX, but he will continue to teach and give back to the sport he loves most. Thank you to everyone for your heart-felt well-wishes, your prayers and the strength you have sent to our family. We are so blessed in so many ways!

Ryan is a serious beast. The memory of him pushing his Kawasaki 125cc bike up hill at the end of a long 125cc National moto in 1995 is text book Ryno. You can see how badass of a competitor he was and is til this day in the video below. Move through the video to about the 42 min mark.

Team Velocity3 that houses both Bobby Kiniry and Kyle Chisholm for the Supercross series is rumored to be struggling. What  that means for Bobby Kiniry is up in the air and the team is still supporting him. For teammate Kyle Chisholm  it means he moving and will go to JGR Yamaha to replace JG33 while he’s undergoing surgery. Chiz may be doing the remainder  of the Supercross series…perhaps longer. For us Canadian fans, what does that mean for the fun loving, dream chaser Scott Donkergoed who is currently wrenching for Chiz?

Last report on twitter from our good buddy Scott:

@ Donk122 Up at 4 Am for press day #practicebikemechanicduties #manfriendduties @KyleChisholm11 can I get you anything?

So it looks like Scott will move to JGR with his rider. It also looks like he  has a full  weekend of handing out foot rubs and cutting the crust off sandwiches for the Chiz. We know Donk, he will be in the middle of the action some how. If it is about paying the price to achieve your dream, then things are going work out for Scott. Donk will stay on as Chisholm’s practice bike mechanic.

Superman!

Great photo from Tucker Hibbert’s facebook. Blair Morgan was out on the trails in the “Ride With the Champs”. We don’t see Blair enough these days!
