Kamloops Photo Album Presented By Canadian Kawasaki Motors Inc.

Heading into the opening round of the 2022 Triple Crown Series everyone was excited to be back out west for the first time since 2019. Between the fresh mountain air and the beautiful Whispering Pines track, Kamloops, BC was the perfect place to kick off the 2022 series. In the 450 class, Dylan Wright once again proved that he will be the rider to beat this summer as he won both motos in dominating fashion. In the 250 class, Ryder McNabb and Jacob Piccolo traded moto wins and since McNabb scored a 2-1 moto finish, he took the overall win at the opening round. It was most certainly a solid day for the GDR Honda Team and now the series moves east to Drumheller, AB for Round 2. For this week’s Photo Album will look back at some James Lissimore photos from Sunday.

After two years the Triple Crown Series is back out west!

Let’s face it, sometime you just don’t like your bike.

Not sure how this kid healed so fast but Julien Benek was back at Round 1.

After last weekend you could just assume that Chris Blackmer loves Canada.

The Blu Cru was strong at Round 1 but there is definitely some work to do!

Colton was a busy man in Kamloops but his hard work most certainly paid off.

The opening round for the mechanics is always a busy and exciting time.

Parker Earles looked solid all day on his KTM.

Davey Fraser is back and on Sunday he went DNF-9 for 12 OA.

The red wave you saw at Whispering Pines MX Park was just the GDR Honda Team winning both classes.

One of the most exciting riders to watch on Sunday was Tyler Gibbs who raced like his life depended on it.

Mitchell Harrison quickly showed why he’s a title favourite in the 250 class with a solid 3rd OA.

With a solid 10th in moto 1 Brock Hoyer was a thorn in the side of some series regulars in the 450 class.

JC and Schuster were headed to Aspen after the races.

The girls were all smiles in Kamloops!

Sadly after a solid third in the opening 450 moto Maff crashed early in moto 2 and hurt his shoulder.

Ryder McNabb came into the opening round with a little more pressure than normal. But it didn’t seem to bother him.

The pit board signs were flying in Kamloops!

The best battle of the weekend was between Medaglia and Wright for the lead in both 450 motos.

As always pit row in Kamloops looked very tidy.

It was great to see so many WMX riders in Kamloops for the opening round.

All things considered Jess Pettis had a pretty solid round in Kamloops.

It’s not going to take Pettis long before he’s battling for the lead in the 450 class.

Piccolo stormed out of the gate and won the opening 250 moto. But a crash early in moto 2 cost him the overall win.

Rookie 250 rider Sebastien Racine had a solid day in Kamloops and ended up 6th OA.

Considering Dylan Rempel was forced to ride the JR class to start off 22, his 8th OA was more than impressive this past weekend.

Justin Rooney is back again for 22 but this time he’s under the orange tent spinning the wrenches for Piccolo

Derek Schuster greets his #1 rider Dylan Wright after a dominating moto win.

Although he’s not smiling here Steve Simms had to be happy with his teams opening round.

As usual Kyle Thompson wore a few hats in Kamloops and was busy doing a lot of jobs.

Awe yes it felt great to be back out west.

Tanner Ward had a solid opening moto in the 450 class but a bike failure caused him to DNF moto 2.

Dylan Wright looked very much in control as he took the wins in both 450 motos on Sunday.

See you all at Round 2 in Drumheller.
