Teddy Maier is getting stronger as the series moves along. Look for him to do very well in the East. He went 1-2 in Edmonton for 2nd overall.

tylermedaglia_edmonton_jl_1915

Tyler Medaglia rode very well in Edmonton on a track that really wasn’t his cup of tea. We’re sure he is looking forward to the tough conditions that the East tracks will bring.

ryanmillar_edmonton_jl_1619

Ryan Millar is quietly having a nice comeback to the series. The Manitoba native rode to a very strong 8th in moto one of the MX1 class.

johnson_edmonton_jl_0670

Ross Johnson seems to be gaining strength each round in the super tough MX1 class. In Edmonton Ross rode to a decent 9-9 for 8th overall.

Julian cerny_edmonton_jl_1083

Julien Cerny just loves to race and it shows everytime he is on the track. He had a little bad luck in Edmonton and ended up going 19-DNF.

gavingrayck_edmonton_jl_1784

Mr Consistency Gavin Grayck is just waiting for the heat and humidity of the East. Since he is racing himself into shape, the last five rounds should be good for the likeable kid from Ohio.

Brockhoyer_edmonton_jl_1699

Brock Hoyer has become a very good MX1 rider, in Edmonton he struggled a little bit with his starts and finished 10-10 for 10th overall

austin_edmonton_jl_1720

MX1 points leader Brett Metclafe continues to impress everyone in Canada. In moto two he again came from way back to win the moto and the overall. It will be interesting to see how he does this weekend in Southwick.

allen_edmonton_jl_0484

Since Tyler Villopoto was at home resting there was room under the Leading Edge tent for Josh Allen. This kid was so excited to be part of the factory on Sunday. Josh rode a little tight but fought hard to finish 18-14 for 16th overall.

Although the Edmonton area didn’t get the rain that Souther Alberta recieve. There were still showers on and off all weekend. The road from the pits to the track took a beating on Friday night.

With the type of soil that makes up Castrol Raceway there isn’t much the crew can do to make it rough. Although there was no dust, the surface stayed hard and fast all weekend.

Pretty standard photo. HOWEVER, this finish line guy made our photo highlight reel. He will have at least magazine shot in the next MXP. Gold Jerry, gold.

Is anyone looking at the moto 2 sign? I think not!

pits_edmonton_jl_0791

With the rain that fell in the evenings in Edmonton and with drag racers occupying the good pits. The teams were forced to park in the only place they didn’t want to. But it all worked out on Sunday and everyone left happy.

start_edmonton_jl_2136

After some bad luck and a little less speed than Austin Politelli in the first three rounds. Luck and speed finally belonged to Kaven Benoit as he tooked the overall in the MX2 class.

Swanson_edmonton_jl_2162

Kyle Swanson had his best ride of the series in Edmonton, in both motos he battled hard to eventually finish 5-4 for 5th overall.

topheringalls_edmonton_jl_2222

Topher Ingalls didnt have the day he hoped for suffering a costly DNF. Topher has been the suprise so far of the MX2 series as he has the speed to win.

richardgrey_edmonton_jl_2264

Richard Grey had a quiet 8-7 in Edmonton but he did ride very well. With his favourite tracks coming up in the East hopefully we see him in the top 5 soon.

savage_edmonton_jl_2284

With his injured wrist getting stronger each weekend, the best is yet to come for Blake Savage. When healthy, this kid will be on the podium.

nathanbles_edmonton_jl_2400

For how hard Nathan Bles rode on Sunday, he didn’t get much out of it as he went 10-10 for 9th overall. Bad starts really hurt his chances on the smooth Edmonton track.

JarodAllison_edmonton_jl_2255

Jared Allison was on the gas in Edmonton. Although his finished well back of the leaders, his speed was really good. Like Bles, he just wasn’t able to get the starts he wanted.

beniot_edmonton_jl_2149

This has been the story of the MX2 class in the first four rounds as Austin Politelli and Kaven Benoit are the riders to beat. As we head to Benoit’s home turf in the East, he has alot of points to make up on Politelli.

impound_edmonton_jl_2468

On the fast Edmonton track you needed all the horsepower you could find. The overall winners in both classes were using FMF exhausts. See everyone at Goper Dunes!
