Breaking News- 2022 AMO Racing Schedule

Hello AMO Family. Hopefully, you’re getting excited like us at AMO about the season which is fast approaching. We have a small change to the 2022 True North Race Schedule and wanted to ensure all of you got the info way ahead of time.

The July 1-3 Long Weekend at Walton Raceway is no longer part of the AMO OPC Series. The reason for this is the event has lots of extra disciplines on hand (Flat track, Off-Road, Triple Crown, Parts Canada Amateur Open). AMO would be unable to fulfill the set of normal classes with such a busy event. This is part of the Parts Canada Amateur Open Series that will run in line with this Canada Day Weekend and the following two weekends at Gopher Dunes (July 9-10) and Sand Del lee/MX101 July (16-17)

*** Stay tuned for the classes that will run for amateurs as we approach the season.

REVISED 2022 True North Fleet AMO OPC Series:

Key Points:

  • Your best ten events count towards the Ontario Provincial Championship
  • Series allows for two drop scores
  • Race days are Saturday/Sunday except for the final round at Gopher Dunes (OPC 13).  The format for the thirteenth round is Friday/Saturday, followed by the year-end banquet Saturday night.
  • Every racer MUST be a member of AMO to race an AMO event. Each event has day passes available, but you cannot purchase that until the event opens.
  • AMO holds the list of 2021 numbers for AMO members until February 28th, 2022. If you want to retain your race number, be sure to get your membership before this date.
  • It is the member’s responsibility to have your transponder up to date. This is not an AMO-related question (though we can help point you in the right direction if you need it). You must contact the folks at Mylaps.com for all information, inquiries, and updates related to your transponder. Please also ensure your subscription is up to date and activated when racing begins. If you have a TR2, please read this http://amoracing.com/2021/06/24/mylaps-tr2-transponder-problem/
  • The dates show Fridays because the plan for each event is to have a little extra going on these days before the events. Stay tuned for more on that in the coming months!
