Pit Tour Presented By Matrix Concepts Canada- Daniel Elmore’s TLD/GASGAS/SSR MC450BT

Last week our Matrix Concepts Pit Tour took us to the MX101 Yamaha pit and Shawn Maffenbeier’s YZ450F Well, this time around, we headed over to the TLD/GASGAS/SSR Team to profile Daniel Elmore’s MC450F. Like most of the top riders in the Triple Crown Series, Elmore’s bike consists of parts that all of us can go out and purchase. However, it’s the care that every part receives during the week that makes these machines special. This is Elmore’s first season as part of the TLD/GASGAS/SSR Team, and so far, he’s been very happy with his bike and the atmosphere of his new surroundings. From the engine modifications from the crew at Williams Motowerx to the suspension from TCD to the very trick carbon parts from P3 Carbon, Elmore’s bike is ready to battle for podiums every weekend. In fact, this past weekend at Sand Del Lee, Elmore rode hard to grab his first-ever 450 Triple Crown Series podium as he held off Tyler Medaglia for third overall. Now, let’s closely examine this beautiful red machine with this week’s Matrix Concepts Canada Pit Tour. All photos are of course, by James Lissimore.

Daniel Elmore’s MC450BT is now a podium bike after his third OA at Sand Del Lee. Also, like so many teams in the paddock the TLD/GASGAS/SSR Teams uses the good looking and ultra durable Matrix Concepts Canada bike stand.

For the long and challenging 35 minute national motos, the TLD/GASGAS/SSR Team rely on Hinson Clutches with OEM clutch plates. Also, check out this cool carbon skid plate from P3 Carbon.

Here is another look at the P3 Carbon skid plate, as well as the top surface of the Matrix Concepts Canada bike stand.

Plastics and frame guards are from Acerbis USA and they provide not only protection but a good surface for Daniel Elmore to grip his bike.

Motul lubricants and cleaners to keep the bikes running and looking in top form. Also, the TLD/GASGAS/SSR Team uses Twin Air filters with a Power Flow filter cage.

Elmore’s bike runs extra durable and sharp looking graphics by Throttle Syndicate. Also a grippy Guts seat with lightweight phantom seat foam keeps Daniel where he wants to be on the bike during the motos.

We just always love the look of a polished FMF header pipe.

Xtrig Triple Clamps allow the team to change offset quickly when needed and to help reduce impacts through the bars. Also, notice the very cool GET Ignition System with RPM gauge mounted on the front fender.

Elmore runs durable Pro Taper products, including an O-Ring chain, sprockets, and handlebars. Also, check out the lightweight but beefy looking chain guide and sliders from TMD.

Lke a lot of the top riders in the paddock Daniel uses Raptor footpegs.

Both TLD/GASGAS/SSR riders run the trusted FMF Exhaust Systems on their race bikes.

For this year, the TLD/GASGAS/SSR Team is using TCD Suspension and so far both riders are happy with their settings.

The TLD/GASGAS/SSR Team is using Sunoco Racing Fuel and so far these bikes are performing excellent.
The TLD/GASGAS/SSR Team has been using Pirelli Tires for years and for SDL they went with the MX Soft scoop tire on the rear.

At the top level in this sport every little detail matters as we love Elmore’s small name plate on the hub. Also, you can just see the Brake Tech Caliper that comes stock on this model of the MC450F.

For Round 5, Elmore also ran the Pirelli MX-Soft tire on the front of this MC450BT.

The TLD/GASGAS/SSR Team is using motors from Williams Motowerx for 2023.

Pro riders need strong wheels to soak up the pounding they put their bikes through on the track. This is why Elmore trusts wheel sets from Rims Plus.

One of the coolest parts on Elmore’s bike is the self-engaging Pro Taper starting device.

In recent months, Elmore has been testing this cool looking device from Countershox located on his upper right fork tube. Here is the official description of what it does. “CounterShox is a bolt-on device designed to provide a tuned counter-reaction to obstacles in racing and extreme racing environments. Impulses to the front fork are used to provide an automatic reactionary force that the rider no longer has to provide through the handlebars.”

We added this photo of Daniel hugging his Team Owner Steve Simms after grabbing his first-ever podium on Sunday. It’s cool that we profiled his bike and then he went out and finished third in the 450 class.
