Without any further delay, here are the top 100 numbers for the 2018 Rockstar Energy Triple Crown. As you can see, a few of the top riders have career numbers for 2018 and beyond. This is the first time that this has been done in Canada, so it certainly adds to the excitement of next season.
The numbers listed are for the entire 2018 Rockstar Energy Triple Crown, with the exception of the nine round outdoor series. During the outdoor portion of the series both Shawn Maffenbeier and Matt Goerke will wear the big #1 in their respective class. Even with this new series being sanctioned by the CMA/FIM, it makes sense that the champions from 2017 be recognized for the titles they won.
With the schedule now cemented and the riders knowing their numbers, the only question remaining is which riders will fill the remaining spots on a few of the teams. Will Shawn Maffenbeier be riding a green or a blue bike in 2018? We know that Maffenbeier has had a few offers during the off-season so he is certainly in high demand. Also, it appears that the Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha Team has signed Dillan Epstein to ride alongside Matt Goerke in the MX1 class. They’re also putting rookie pro Marco Cannella under the tent in the MX2 class so that’s great news for the young Ontario rider. With the opening round of the Rockstar Energy Triple Crown Series just three months away, everything will be getting sorted out very soon.
