2022 Triple Crown Series Factory Team Photo Album Presented By Parts Canada

Are you ready for the opening round of the 2022 Triple Crown Series? We most certainly are ready as it’s been a long wait since the series schedule came out at the end of last year. After two years of Covid-19 restrictions, the Triple Crown Series is back to how it was in 2019 when it travelled from coast to coast across Canada. With the opening round this weekend in beautiful Kamloops we are on the eve of what could be the most entertaining national series we’ve seen in some time.

In the 450 class, Dylan Wright is the defending two-time champion and if his results last fall in the final five MXGP rounds are any indication, he’s again the favourite heading into 2022. His biggest rival, Jess Pettis, took a few wins from Wright last summer, but he’s coming into Round 1 having just started riding again after a wrist injury in April. Like last year, Pettis has all of the tools to win races this summer but he may need a few rounds to get comfortable. Rookie 450 class rider Tanner Ward won a few races last summer in the 250 class so he should also be fast on his new KX450F. Throw in fast and experienced riders like Tyler Medaglia and Shawn Maffenbeier and you have five guys that can and might win motos this weekend at Whispering Pines MX Park.

In the 250 class, things are a little more complicated as we have a group of young, aggressive, and fast riders that are no doubt willing to do anything and everything to win. Riders like defending champion Jacob Piccolo, who is now a member of the factory KTM team is ready to continue winning. Ryder McNabb, who at 16 years old has the speed to not only win races but also take home this 250 title. Ryder came close last summer but lost the championship by a few points to Piccolo. Marco Cannella is another rider who last year appeared poised to win his first-ever pro championship. But whether it was pressure, mental mistakes, or bad luck, Cannella won a couple of motos but failed to challenge the kids for the title. Also in the 250 class, we have the rookie duo of Sebastien Racine and Dylan Rempel who would love nothing better than to make life difficult on the series regulars.

Oh yes, we have a strong line up of riders in both classes this summer as the Triple Crown Series prepares to head across Canada for the first time since 2019. To celebrate the opening round of this exciting series we take a look at a collection of James Lissimore photos from the past few weeks. James has been busy travelling through Ontario and Quebec doing some of the Triple Crown Series Team photoshoots and judging by the look of these photos the riders and teams are ready to do battle.
