KTMCANADA WEEKLY RACE REPORT
For immediate release

Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels KTM Canada 2nd Overall MX 1 Championship!!!
CMRC Canadian Motocross Nationals, Round 9 – Walton, ON, August 15th, 2010

Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels KTM Canada’s MX 1 ace Kornel Nemeth rode smart and did exactly what
he had to do to maintain his ranking in the MX 1 CMRC Series as round 9 was held at the famous Walton MX
racetrack in Walton, Ontario. The Hungarian KTM Canada rider got on the podium with a 2nd place in moto 2 and rode
from a mid pack start up to 4th position in the last moto of the season on his Factory prepped KTM 450 SX-F. He
snagged the 3rd place overall for the day and was awarded his highly coveted #2 championship trophy during the final
presentations of the season in front of a huge motocross crowd. Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels KTM
Canada’s Nemeth really came on strong towards the 2nd half of the season and proved he was a championship
contender not missing the podium in every round starting in Morden.

Kornel qualified in 4th position one place back of special guest rider Michael Willard on the 350 SX-F who reeled off a
3rd quickest lap time in MX 1 qualifying. Determined to maintain his 2nd place in the series Nemeth was feeling a bit of
pressure as he lined up for moto 1. As the gate dropped the Dunlop backed #32 did not let off until he rounded the
first turn in 4th place. Making sure he didn’t waste anytime Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels KTM Canada’s
Nemeth made the pass into 3rd. By mid moto Kornel had placed himself behind the leader and kept his KTM 450 SX-F
on 2 wheels finishing in 2nd place. Starting a little further back in moto 2 Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels
KTM’s #32 was forced to pick up his speed a little and make key passes all the way to the checkered flag.

KTM PRESS

After the race Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels KTM Canada’s Kornel Nemeth made a heart felt podium
speech and thanked all his personal and team sponsors as well as the team members and staff who all worked
together and supported him throughout the 2010 season. Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels KTM Canada’s
Kyle McGlynn who had missed a good portion of the season with a shoulder injury got the nod from team manager
Andy White to jump into the MX1 Class on a 350 SX-F. Although it was a brand new bike to Kyle he rode hard and
looked great on the new machine. A couple of on track tip over’s cost Kyle some overall positions but he consistently
and deliberately moved forward through two long motos and was able to finish in 15th overall.

Despite strong starts Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels KTM Canada’s Ryan Millar wasn’t able to translate
them into great finishes, but the young rider maintained a good enough pace to finish in 18th for the day. Millar’s starts
and opening lap speed proves he has the skill to run up front and just needs to build on that momentum to maintain
his position throughout the motos.

Despite missing the last 6 motos of the season due to a broken wrist Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels KTM
Canada’s Eric Nye still landed in 8th Overall in the MX2 Series. Nye’s early departure from the series was a
disappointment for him and his fans as well as to the team; however, he is healing quickly and will no doubt be ready
to ride soon again. Walton was a 3 moto finale for the ladies. Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels KTM Canada’s
Kate McKerroll raced right down to the wire for the 2nd Overall plate! Kate rode great and the whole team is very
proud of her accomplishment!

A very special thanks to all of the Royal Distributing Thor Dragon Fuels KTM team sponsors. Without their support
we wouldn't be able to go racing.

KTM PRESS
Kevin Urquhart’s quest to get a top 10 MX 1 National number ended on a positive note. The #546 was running in the
top 10 on his Royal Distributing KTM 450 SX-F both motos and when the checkers flew he was in 9th which is also his
new 2011 National number.

Orange Motorsports KTM Canada support rider Jeremy Medaglia capped off a great season on board his 2010 KTM
250 SX-F by grabbing 4th overall and 3rd in the Championship series. Duroy Racing KTM’s Kaven Benoit was right
behind Medaglia in the championship hunt and ended the season strong grabbing 4th overall in the series. KTM
Canada wishes to congratulate all the riders and the dealers who have supported their riders and put in such a great
effort all season long.

Bobby Kiniry King of Walton

ROCKSTAR ENERGY/OTSFF/TROY LEE DESIGNS/

TWO WHEEL SUZUKI

PRESS RELEASE

(Vaughan, ON, August 17, 2010)

Bobby Kiniry King of Walton

Team Rockstar Energy/OTSFF/Troy Lee Designs/Two Wheel Suzuki finished the MX1 Motocross Nationals on a high note at Walton Raceway in Walton, ON with an overall win by Bobby Kiniry and sixth overall by Freddy Karrle.

Kiniry, who had more than his fair share of bad luck this season, went out in style by winning the first moto and finishing second in moto two. It was the New York native’s first national win on Canadian soil.

Kiniry’s win not only saw him cement third overall in the MX1 points chase – the same as his 2009 ranking – he was crowned 2010 King of Walton, the most prestigious honour a rider can claim on the nine-round nationals tour.

“I knew I had to come out hitting today if I was going to grab the overall and vindicate myself. After an up and down season it was very gratifying to finally end up in the winner’s circle. I couldn’t have wished for a better day. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone on the team, especially Andre Laurin, for standing behind me and make it possible for me to finish the season again with a top-three ranking,” Kiniry said.

In the first MX1 moto, Kiniry nailed down the holeshot ahead of the Hungarian, Kornel Nemeth, fellow Americans Josh Demuth and Shane Sewell, and the New Zealander Mason Phillips.

In what the pundits called the moto of the season, Kiniry held of an unrelenting Nemeth for the entire race as well as an equally unrelenting Dusty Klatt, who connected with the front-runners in the second half of the moto after a mid-pack start.

Two times Klatt went down for a soil sample trying to get by Kiniry, who fought back tooth and nail to stay in the lead. When all was said and done, the 2010 MX1 Champion had to take satisfaction with third place behind Nemeth as Kiniry took the checkered flag for a well deserved win.

Meanwhile, Karrle, who started just outside the top-10, held his own to finish in seventh place.

An on fire Kiniry pegged the second moto holeshot as well, pulling Demuth, Travis Sewell, Klatt, Karrle, and Nemeth along with him through the first turn.

Kiniry would lead for about five laps until Klatt managed to take over the freight train. This left Kiniry fending off Demuth, then Sewell, in a bid to hold onto second place and the overall that would be its reward.

Although Sewell stuck a pass on Kiniry towards the end of the moto, Kiniry repassed him on the same lap and took it all the way to the checkered.

As in the first moto, the battle for top-ten positions was fast and furious with Karrle staying on the gas to cross the finish line in sixth place.

“It was my intention to finish the season with a top-ten ranking and I can say mission accomplished. I came into the season as a privateer and ended it as a member of Team Rockstar Energy/OTSFF/Troy Lee Designs/Two Wheel Suzuki, which definitely made the journey a little easier,” Karrle said. “I’d like to thank Andre, Stu and the entire team for their support and belief in me.”

Team Rockstar Energy/OTSFF/Troy Lee Designs/Two Wheel Suzuki would like to congratulate Bobby on his overall win and third place ranking in the championship. Congratulations also go to Freddy Karrle for finishing the season with a No. 7 ranking. Thank you to the entire team for making it happen and a special ‘thank you’ to all our valuable sponsors.
