Renegade Fuels 2010 Walton Trans Can Report

Renegade Fuels 2010 Walton Trans Can Report

After a long hot week at the 2010 Loretta Lynn National, Renegade Fuels would make the trip north of the border to the 2010 Walton Trans Can National with product support for Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki and Orange Motorsports Jeremy Medaglia. They were also showing support with upcoming amateur rider Cole Varty. They weather was good and the track was looking great as Renegade Fuels would look to carry some momentum into the last round of the Nationals and try to win that number 1 plate with Teddy Maier. It had been a close battle all season with Maier and Tyler Medaglia. Maier would come into the last round needing a win and Tyler Medaglia to have a really off weekend. Once practice was underway you could tell that we were going to see some great racing. Renegade Fuel riders Teddy Maier, Shawn Rife, Spencer Knowles, and Tyler Medaglia all look to be at the top of their game. With a 23 point lead over Maier,  Tyler Medaglia only had to finish 19th or better to secure the title, so in moto 2 he was passed by his Championship rival Maier, Rife, Lepp, Jeremy Medaglia and cruised home to a 5th place finish and the title. Renegade Fuels rider Rife, who was battling through an injury from earlier in the season was able to come out swinging and walk away with the top spot on the podium.  Orange Motorsport’s Jeremy Medaglia, who held a autograph signing at the Podium Hog/Renegade Fuels rig, was fast all day and wrapped up 3rd overall in the points standings. Renegade Fuels were able to finish the season off with 4 of the top 10 overalls for the season. Renegade finished the season as follows,

2nd Teddy Maier

3rd Jeremy Medaglia

7th Shawn Rife

10th Spencer Knowles

In the week leading up to the pro National, Renegade would see amateur rider Cole Varty ride his Yz125 for all it was worth. Varty would line up on the gate for the GP class with Renegade Fuels in his tank to do battle with the four strokes, 250’s and 450’s. Varty not having the best chance at great starts on the 125cc machine would hold it on longer and hard than most of his competitors and move his way up quickly during the moto. Varty would finish his three moto’s with a 5,7,6 scores. That would be good enough to give Varty 3rd overall. Pretty impressive ride on a 125 machine. Varty has been in the States training down a Izzi’s place and it really is starting to show.

Many new customers stopped by the Renegade setup and purchased fuel for the first time. Renegade had great reviews from each of the customers and will look to progress in the Canadian market with the same success that has brought them to the front of the industry in AMA Pro racing and AMA Amateur Nationals. For more information as to how you can purchase or become a dealer for the same fuel that powers the top riders and teams in Canada and U.S. you can contact the Canadian Dist. at  587-777-2622 / sean@podiumhog.com or Mark Ticen/Renegade Fuels at 270-467-4215 / mticen@valorllc.com

Evolved Nutrition PR:

For Immediate Release

The 2010 CMRC season has drawn to a close, and what a season it was! With great racing action from the opening gate drop in Kamloops to the last checker flag this past weekend in Walton Ontario, this was one of the most competitive seasons to date!! Evolved MX had Jared Allison, his twin brother Parker, Kyle Beaton and Jared Petruska representing the company this year on the national circuit.

Jared Petruska based out of Strathmore Alberta being the youngest of the crew, won the prestigious bronze boot this year at Raymoond, and had his best finish in the first moto of the CMRC Nationals in Morden placing just outside the top 10 in a solid twelfth place. Jared was unable to finish his season due to a crash while practicing that broke his clavicle in two spots. Watch for this young man to make his presence felt next year, when he’s looking to make a full assault at the nationals in his first year as a pro. When asked Drew Robertson, the owner of Evolved said” Jared has always worked hard for me and is very determined. He will make a great pro next year, just on his work ethic alone, never mind his talent!!’

Parker Allison and Jared Allison the twins who graced the cover of MXP earlier this season had a head turning season to say the least. They rode strong each and every time they got on the track. Jared finished 5th and Parker right behind him in 6th in the ulra competitive MX2 class which wrapped up this past weekend. These two young men are not only brothers, and training partners on and off the track but help each other with lines and are always looking to help each other out. Their mom Lori is out there cheering them on, helping out and preparing there meals, dad Brent is in the pits working on the bikes, brother Brad is the mechanic for the youngest of the four pack; Bryton, so when you talk about a family affair, this is the true meaning of a family team in Canadian motocross. When asked about the season Drew had this to say about the family from Delburne Alberta ”These two young men are the reason I continue to do what I do, they give it there all, and not just on the track, they train with heart!! The family is so accommodating , Lori and Brent are always great to be around, Lori will call me up and discuss different food ideas for the weekend and Brent is the strong silent type, but when he says something you can always count on it, if he told you the sky was purple I wouldn’t even need to look up! I have a great relationship with both boys and when I can make it to the races I’ll take Parks to the line, I have offered to sit on the back of the bike for the wholeshot but he says Joe Skidd cant get a spring big enough for me to do that….guess the coach needs to do a little more jogging!!! “I’m proud of both of these young men” continues Drew” and I look forward to working with them for as many years as I can”. The highlight of the season was the past weekend when the twins both finished in the top ten in the MX2 class then Jared having crashed in the first turn during the first MX1 moto causing him to pull off, came from 25th and finished 8th in the 2nd MX 1 moto!!! Asked about this accomplishment Drew had this to say “I was super excited to listen as Jared worked his way through the pack, having already raced twice that day, he still had enough in the tank to grab a hold of that 450 and not just ride but to crack the top 10. He had only ridden the 450 earlier that week for a couple of hours, which I think makes it very impressive, to be able to adapt and push that hard says a lot about Jared’s confidence and his belief in the level of his conditioning”.

Parker had this to say about working with Drew and Evolved: “The Canadian nationals are known to be one of the most physically demanding series. I have trained with evolved nutrition for the last 4 years to improve my results. Training with Drew from evolved has made me a better rider and also has made it easier to compete in the series . My 6th place in the series has been a result of my strong training program. Drew from Evolved knows what motocross training is!”

Jared was asked about with Evolved as well and had this say: “Evolved nutrition has excelled me to a level that I never thought I would get too. Motocross is known as one of the most physically demanding sports, and I can honestly say that thanks to Drew I can do a full Moto and not even get tired. My fastest laps are at the end of the Moto and that goes to show how good my whole program is. Thanks to Evolved for my fifth series finish.”

Kyle Beaton who suffered a heart breaking crash during qualifying at the very first round in Kamloops, which sidelined the B.C. native till the last two rounds returned at Ste.Julie and showed that he is still every bit the competitor. He finished fourth in the first moto and was running in a solid 3rd when a mechanical, with only three laps end his hopes of ending up on the box at his first national back. He came out at Walton and finished 10th in the first moto struggling with being away from racing for so many weekends, and not one to quit the speedy Beats refocused and in the 2nd moto of the day got a solid third showing the fans that he still had what it takes to compete!!! Drew said “Kyle has so much hart and natural talent when he crashed in Kamloops for the 2nd year in a row it was absolutely heart breaking for me. He comes out and stays with me and my family even giving my wife Shauna a hard time about her cooking, which,if you knew my wife only the very brave would even think about!! My son has given him a black eye in the past, make sure you ask Kyle about that, my son is only 11 by the way…I guess the point is he is like family and I know how much hard work he has put in and I know he can win, so we’ll keep working away and I fully believe one day Kyle will be a champion!! Make sure to watch and cheer for Kyle at the Montreal Supercross, as he is looking to defend his victory from there last year!!

What is in store for Evolved in the future, Drew had this to say when asked: “I have worked hard for the last 5 years building my company up, along the way we have had employees come and go but I can honestly say I have found the best and more importantly most professional people to help my athletes become the best the possibly can. The team consists of Leanne Hazard who has come with me to races is our massage therapist, owning Promax massage therapy, Dr. Dolman and Dr. Ryles Layden are the Chiropractors that I recommend, Dr. Dolhman being located in Calgary and Dr. Layden being located in Rochester just outside of Minneapolis Minnesota, as well as Kim an athletic therapist and Julie a physiotherapist both located in Ontario. The whole idea is to let each professional do his or her job with myself coordinating the whole process, granted not all my athletes need to see each member of the team but it’s nice to have these different avenues available to them if needed. I have another trainer that I work with in Calgary who is helping out, Kelli and I look forward to offering our training to more clients in the future. I have never believed in training everyone, my personal approach requires so much contact and maintenance that we can only work with a select few, so with the addition of another trainer and two facilities I’m

hoping to be able to work with a few more people next year. I’m really excited to be involved with Motopark, I have worked with Iain Hayden for a number of years now and we both have a vision of taking Motopark to a whole new level by developing the academy program further.

Iain Hayden had this to say about Evolved MX and Drew: Evolved MX / Drew have an exceptionally unique program. I have had the opportunity to work with several trainers over the years and hands down Drew has the best program. He will get you in the best physical shape you have ever been in, but what's really special is how he makes you realize what's between the ears. Drew has enabled me to race through injury and still have success. I can't thank him enough.

It has been a great summer and Evolved MX would like to thank everyone involved and if you’re interested in joining the training program or want more information please contact Drew: drew@evolvednutrition.com or if you’re interested in the Academy program at Motopark please contact Iain Hayden: iain@motoparkracing.com
