Ricky Carmichael – need we say more?

    March 15th, 2012

Ricky is one busy guy so for him to take the time to do a MXP Podcast, well we can’t thank the guy enough. It starts off a little strange because of some technical difficulties and at one point we lost Ricky so he actually called us back. So at the start, if you’re wondering what’s going, it seems like they just roll into it like they have been chatting for a few minutes already. Well…. they were.

KTM motocross team manager Andy White

    Andy White

    Andy White

Being a manger in the Canadian race scene is a tough job. Your job is to win races for your team, or company in Andy White’s case. Royal Distributing KTM Red Bull Fox is the only team in Canada that is actually a factory team. KTM Canada wants to win titles. Their equipment has made leaps and bounds from years past, and they’re a player for titles now wherever the gate drops. They dominate in the GP’s in Europe. They have hired Ryan Dungey in the US to put the KTM SX 450 on the box. He has already proved that with the company’s very first win on US soil in SX. In Canada, the MX2 class has been the proving grounds for KTM. Michael Willard in 2005, and Eric Nye in 2008 gave KTM Canada their first titles which were very special to the company. Yet, they still feel like they’re missing something in the MX1 class. They have the bike, and now they have the riders with Champions Colton Facciotti and Dusty Klatt on board. They have gone and spent the time, money and effort to get the best Canada has to offer. For Andy White the statistics show that he has the riders that will bring the first title to KTM in MX1. When the gate drops in June at Nanaimo he hope all these stats, as well as championships his new riders have become a reality for himself, and the company KTM. Marc Travers sits down and chats with the friendly Frenchman.
